We are a private, not-for-profit hospital, and the principal affiliate of Bridgeport Hospital & Healthcare Services, Inc. with Ahlbin Rehabilitation Centers and the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation.

We are also a member of the Yale New Haven Health System with Yale-New Haven Hospital, Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital and Greenwich Hospital, and managed care network participant Westerly (R.I.) Hospital.

Bridgeport Hospital is the most comprehensive hospital in Fairfield County with 425 licensed beds, more than 2,600 employees, 530 active attending physicians representing 70 subspecialties, 220 medical/surgical residents and fellows in programs affiliated with Yale University School of Medicine, and more than 340 volunteers and auxilians.

Bridgeport Hospital and Ahlbin Rehabilitation Centers provide more than 285,000 patient care visits annually, including 20,000 admissions; nearly 220,000 total outpatient visits to the hospital (including more than 67,000 emergency department visits and 38,000 clinic visits); 7,600 SurgEase (same day surgery) visits, and 33,000 outpatient rehabilitation visits.
