Rehabilitation Program Components

Activities of the Rehabilitation Unit

  • Medical supervision.
  • 24-hour services provided by rehabilitation nursing and medical staff.
  • Therapy is offered seven days per week and may take place in the Dr. William H. Baird Gym, in your room, hallways, recreation/dining room or any place that provides the proper setting. Rest periods are provided. Your therapy schedule will be posted on the schedule board daily. Family members and/or friends who may provide support after discharge are encouraged to participate in the program during regular visiting hours.
  • Lunch and dinner may be served in the unit's recreation/dining area, providing you with an opportunity to socialize with other patients while improving adaptive skills.
  • Showers are scheduled throughout the day to help you prepare for morning therapy sessions.
