The Department of Surgery at Bridgeport Hospital includes 12 specialty sections. More than 14,000 surgeries are performed each year in our 20 operating rooms—12 Main Operating Rooms and 8 SurgEase (Same-Day) Operating Rooms.

In addition to the 12 Surgical Sections at left services at Bridgeport Hospital include:

• SurgEase same-day/ambulatory surgery center
• The Andrew J. and Henrietta Panettieri Burn Center—the only dedicated, verified adult burn center between New York and Boston—which receives 200 inpatient and 500 outpatient visits per year
• The Wound Healing Center of Fairfield County, caring for patients with difficult-to-treat wounds
