Electrophysiology Laboratory
Patients with heart rhythm problems come to the Electrophysiology Laboratory. Here, a specially trained cardiologist can test for abnormal heart rhythms to determine if the heart's electrical system is working correctly. These specialized cardiologists are called electrophysiologists. Problems with heart rhythms can be treated with medications, or with an implantable pacemaker or defibrillator, or catheter raidoablation.
