Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

Bridgeport Hospital'sMedical/Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (MCCU) offers continuous monitoring and dedicated nursing care for heart patients. In this state-of-the-art setting, each room is private, and is located just steps away from the nurses’ station. The ratio is one nurse to one to two patients. All cardiac surgery patients are admitted to the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU).
